Description

fired but near mint Bird's head gripped USFA 4 3/4 inch revolver. Hamilton Bowen did most of the work on the gun except for the engraving which was done by Dennis Kies. The factory Ivory grips are beginning to take on that mellowed look that so characterizes ivory with time. The gun has had a Bowen action job and was regulated to hit point of aim at 25 yards. It was returned to the factory for a redo of the front sight after Bowen's initial work. The only blemish on the gun to my eye is the slight wear on the cylinder face from the rounds used to regulate point of aim with the strike of the bullet. The gun was never carried and never placed in a holster. Its rust blue finish, ivory stocks, and engraving contrasted with the case hardening sets the pistol off quite dramatically. The bore of course is mint and the action leaves nothing to be desired. It could easily be used as a collector piece or even carried and used in cowboy action competition. If barbeque guns exist then this belongs in that category. Take a look at the pictures as they tell the best story. By the way it comes with the original box and papers as well as the factory note indicating the changes made to the front sight for the purpose of regulation. Any questions you might have will be answered to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for taking a look so far. This is a really nice gun. Good luck.
