Here's a Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 revolver that was delivered to the Army in November of 1917. Designed for the U.S. Military during WWI, the Model 1917 is based on Colt's large frame "New Service" double action revolver, but modified to chamber the same rimless .45 ACP cartridge used by the Colt 1911 Automatic. This revolver is completely original. I'd rate this revolver about 90% overall.#The revolver functions perfectly and both timing and lock-up are excellent. The bore is also in very good shape and shows good rifling that is free of any pitting. A solid, completely honest example of an important WWI Colt sidearm! Buyer pays £15.00 shipping & insurance.
